Bidet Seat Features Guide

Adjustable Water Temperature And Pressure Cleanse

The foundation of a bidet is the superior cleansing effect of water versus toilet paper. Options are endless, but most bidet toilet seats come with a combination of features. Most common features include a single or multiple cleansing wand that extends from the base of the bidet and can perform a multitude of tasks. From basic anterior and posterior cleansing to pulsated massages all the way to lower bowel cleansing through an enema feature. At the core of these highlights is the very common feature of user controlled water temperature and pressure. To ensure maximum hygiene most bidets also include a self cleansing feature that cleanses the washing wand with fresh water prior to withdrawing back into the base of the seat.

Heated Seat

An added feature of many bidets is the heated seat. A heated seat provides another element of comfort for the user that the standard toilet cannot provide. Most heated seats give the user the option to control the temperature of the seat. This can range from 93 degrees all the way up to 104 degrees. This is a very nice feature for colder climates and for those that hate a cold seat!

Warm Air Dryer

A warm air dryer is great for anybody that needs a hands free toilet experience or for those with hemorrhoids that find the roughness of toilet paper too painful on their most sensitive parts. The temperature of the gentle dryer gives the user the ability to determine their comfort level with the dryer. To speed up the process of drying an individual could use one sheet of toilet paper to start the process and finish with the air dryer. However, most users find the warm air dryer much more comfortable then any toilet paper.

Hydraulic Seat And Lid

No more slamming toilet lids! Most full function bidet seats include a hydraulic seat and lid that closes softly to minimize the chances of a lid slamming and possibly causing injury or just plain annoyance.

Seat Sensor

The functions of a fully featured bidet can only be activated when an individual is actually sitting on the seat. The seat sensor prevents any mishaps that may come from a curious child or other uneducated guest curious about the bidet seat.

Deodorizer

Activated by the bidet, the deodorizer is not found on all models but is self explanatory. Most of these deodorizers come with a replaceable charcoal filter.

Remote Control

A necessity if you have limited mobility or for a caretaker initiating the functions of the bidet. Most are wall mounted and provide the user with easy access to all the features of the bidet seat. Many bidet seats with remotes also come with a mounted control panel on the bidet that provide the user with basic bidet features in case of a remote failure.
